We are pleased to inform GSC participants about the accreditation of the following events by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®):
Global Spine Congress 2026 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 21 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
PC1 -Spinal Interventions/Injections Didactic Pre-course has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 3.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
PC2- Pre-Course by AO Spine Knowledge Forum Spinal Cord Injury and Knowledge Forum Tumor – Intraoperative Ultrasound: From Basic Principles to Advanced Applications for Spine Trauma, Spinal Cord Injury and Spine Oncology has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 3.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
The PC3- Pre-course: Updates in Endoscopic Spine Surgery – Second Edition, Istanbul, Turkey 27/05/2026 – 27/05/2026, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 3.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
PC4 – Pre-course: OLLIF: Oblique Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion – Trans-Kambin Access for MIS Lumbar Fusion has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 3.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
PC5 – Pre-course: Fundamentals and Advances in Full Endoscopic Spine Surgery has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 3.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
PC6 – Pre-course: Tubes vs Endoscopes: What is More Effective for Patients and Surgeons? has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 3.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
PC7 – AO Spine Youth Club Pre-Course – Present and Future of Young Spine Surgeons has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 3.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
EACCME® credits
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she spent in the educational activity.
Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form.
The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 1 ECMEC® for one hour of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day.
Europe
The EACCME® has signed agreements with the majority of European countries. For a full and updated list of signed agreements in Europe please visit https://eaccme.uems.eu
The countries with which the EACCME® has signed agreements will recognize EACCME® credits. All the other countries may recognize EACCME®credits on a voluntary basis. For these countries you will also need to apply to the central or relevant regional accreditation authority.
Conversion of EACCME® credits
Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credits to AMA credits can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications.
Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC® credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Information regarding the conversion of EACCME® credits
Credit will be converted based on one (1) hour of participation equalling one credit for all activities. Physicians wishing to convert EACCME® credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be required to access the AMA website at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications to obtain the necessary paperwork and instructions. Physicians and other health care professionals will be required to pay a processing fee to the AMA.

Simple procedure
Attendance to the accredited sessions will be monitored onsite through scanner devices. At the congress venue delegates will be asked to scan the QR code printed on their badge at all access controls.
On May 31st, GSC participants will receive an email with a link to access and complete the CME questionnaire. Please carefully check the deadline requested to complete the questionnaire and make sure you submit it on time, in order to get the CME credits
