What topics are shaping the future of spinal surgery? At GSC 2025, you helped identify the areas with the greatest potential to influence clinical practice; not only what we learn, but what we actually use. We are pleased to recognize our top contributor, Renato Bisol, Cirurgião de Coluna, São Paulo, Brazil, with a special book prize.
We invite you to take part again at GSC 2026, where we will conduct real-time evaluation of knowledge adoption through conference presentations.
This reflects the growing focus on Knowledge Translation (KT) within the research community. KT goes beyond disseminating your research: it is about ensuring that evidence is adopted into daily clinical practice. In spine surgery, where innovation is rapid and decision-making remains nuanced, bridging the gap between evidence and implementation remains a challenge, but we are determined to take it on.
AO is piloting a structured approach to KT to better understand how knowledge moves from education to practice. Rather than measuring attendance or satisfaction alone, this initiative focuses on impact: which ideas resonate, which approaches are adopted, and what ultimately changes clinical behavior.
GSC is uniquely positioned to lead this effort. As a global meeting point for spine surgeons, it is an environment where knowledge is actively discussed, tested, and refined through peer exchange and we aim to capture this in real time.
We invite you to take part again at GSC 2026, where we will conduct real-time evaluation of knowledge adoption through conference presentations.
Don’t forget to take part. Simply download the GSC app and answer one quick question after each presentation. It only takes seconds, but your input helps identify the topics that truly influence clinical practice.
Top contributors will be acknowledged, and the #1 contributor will win a book prize. Join us and help shape what comes next!
